Lefty’s
DTC is a small company located in Northern Idaho. The company
was started in 1999 by Dr. Jim Miller, a Dentist who loved to ride
snowmobiles. He saw a need for a part that no one was making and selling
at that time. So he decided to start Lefty’s DTC with two goals in
mind; to build a user friendly left hand throttle control in a bolt on
kit and to make it a high quality part that will last.
Since then the company grew more than he expected and Jim
decided that dentistry and Lefty’s was to much for he and his wife to
handle. So in 2002 he sold the company to Allen & Natasha Mangum who
also own Timbersled Products (a company that builds custom lightweight
snowmobile parts www.timbersled.com).
At this point Lefty’s needed some refining, such as
product improvement and kit price.
So that is what we have done along with some new products that
can be seen on this web site.
In
January of 2008, Allen sold Lefty's to Jason Meyer so that he could
focus all of his attention on Timbersled as it grows leaps and bounds.
Meanwhile, Jason intends to give Lefty's the attention it deserves and
to continue the tradition of quality products at competitive prices.
